‘Maze Runner 2: The Scorch Trials’ Tops Local and International Box-Office with $30.3 Million and $43.3 Million Respectively

The $61 million production of the sequel to the box-office hit "Maze Runner" was not wasted as the 'Scorch Trials' topped the Domestic and International Theaters.

The 'Maze Runner: Scorch Trials' tops the domestic box-office with $30.3 million followed by 'Black Mass' featuring Johnny Depp with $23.3 million.

The dystopian sci-fi thriller movie also tops the international scenes with $43.3 million.

According to Variety, 'Scorch Trials took the tops spot in 30 other countries including South Korea where it earned $7.5 million, Russia with $3.8 million, Brazil with $2.7 million and Venezuela with $2.5 million.

The 'Scorch Trials' follows the journey of Thomas (O'Brien) and his fellow Gladers battling the authoritative organization W.C.K.D, the same organization who put them on experimented and put the Gladers in the maze, while facing the perils of the Scorch, a desolate landscape filled with dangerous obstacles.

The Sci-fi film based on the books written by James Dashner first hit the big screens in 2014 that earned over $345.5 million worldwide at the box-office.
