"General Hospital's" hottie Ryan Paevey, who play Detective Nathan West, was asked to join the cast of "Dancing With The Stars," according to Celeb Dirty Laundry who have learned the news exclusively from Soap Opera Spy.
Last Sept. 11, Soap Opera Spy was able to join Paevey for dinner in Montreal at Vinnie Gambini Restaurant. Paevey was joined with William DeVry at the said event and its proceeds will go directly to an animal rescue charity.
In the said event, Soap Opera Spy had the chance to ask Ryan if he would ever consider competing in ABC's "Dancing With The Stars."
Little did they know that DWTS has already asked Ryan to join the said show, surprisingly for a couple of times already. Ryan said, "Dancing With The Stars, yes they have approached me several times!" He added, "But I told them NO!"
When asked why, he answered, "I can't dance, I just can't dance." The SOS editor told Ryan that he can learn to dance as he participates in the show since that's what the show is all about. But Ryan replied, "At the point I am in my career this is not the next step there are several other things I would like to pursue if time allowed, just not DWTS."
The editor also mentioned to Ryan that joining the dancing show can really boost his career as well as the ratings of "General Hospital." "Yes, that is true but I have a lot of screen time and doing the show would mean I would have to miss a lot of time. I am sure 'GH' would give me the time. But NO, I just cannot dance," he said.
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, William was able to mention how good the compensation was for being part of DWTS and Ryan agreed on it. Still he is not interested to take part of the dancing show because this would mean that he need to take a time off from "General Hospital."
Much to the disappointment of fans, Paevey will not be wearing sexy pants while performing in "Dancing With The Stars."
