Renee Zellweger 2015: Actress Slams Face-Shamers in Paris Fashion Week; ‘Bridget Jones’ Star Looking Like Her Old Self

Renee Zellweger is hitting the headlines in 2015 after she was face-shamed at the ELLE event in October 2014. On Wednesday, she surprised the people at the Paris Fashion Week as she walked on the Miu Miu fashion show. She graced the event looking her old self again, which reportedly slammed all those who scrutinized the actress a year ago.

Zellweger debuted a new hairdo with bangs for the fashion show. She was seen refreshed in Parisian chic ensemble: black laced dress with bright red coat and nude pumps. She looked younger than her age with her minimal makeup, People reports. She posed with actress Odeya Rush for pictures during the event. This was her first public appearance since she encountered face-shaming when she appeared "unrecognizable" last year.

In October, Zellweger was ridiculed by the public when she appeared looking different at an Elle event, stirring rumors that she had undergone plastic surgery. That time, she was said to be unrecognizable with her puffy face, line-free forehead and modified eyebrows, according to Daily Mail. However, she got the support of her fellow celebs including Reese Witherspoon and Naomi Watts. Instead of taking the backlash seriously, the "Bridget Jones" star calmly addressed the rumors.

"I'm glad folks think I look different!" Zellweger said. "I'm living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I'm thrilled that perhaps it shows. People didn't know me [as] healthy for a while. Perhaps I look different. Who doesn't as they get older?! Ha. But I am different. I'm happy."

Zellweger was last seen in the movie "My Own Love Song" in 2010. This year, she will be seen up and about again in two upcoming films. She will be featured along with Keanu Reeves in the movie, "The Whole Truth" as well as "Same Kind of Different as Me" with Djimon Hounsou.
