Not much time has passed since the "Galaxy S6 Edge" was the man of the hour. But now, the next phone in the Galaxy series is already being talked about.
"Samsung Galaxy S7" won't be a thing until March next year, but news and rumors about it are already all over the internet. And all these rumors suggest that the "Galaxy S7" will be stronger than all the other Galaxy smartphones we have ever been introduced to before.
One good rumor even suggests that Samsung already went to file a trademark for what they call the "Turtle glass". It shall be a new glass cover type that will replace the common Galaxy buddy, the "Gorilla glass". This Turtle glass is expected to be a stronger option with a super strong display protection functionality. It will practically be stronger than the previous glass used.
The development for this technology is within Samsung, and no one has mentioned when it will ever be used. It was also never mentioned whether the new glass protection technology will be present in the "Galaxy S7". The launch of the S7 will be on March, so the question is, will the Turtle Glass be ready for that release as well?
The Focus Is On The Toughness
Another source have mentioned that Samsung is working on an experiment with some alloy that will take the next Galaxy phones' strength to a higher lever. This will likewise make the device a bit lighter than before and overheating would become less of an issue.
The interesting part of all these spec rumors is that these came out one week after Apple announced their 6S phone which has a 7000 series aluminum build, making it stronger than their previous year's release. Apple may really have to work on a technology like that after the Bendgate scandal.
What is seems like right now is that Samsung wants to address the issue about smartphones' poor build, even though this has never been an issue with all their Galaxy phones. If there is truth in all these rumors, Samsung does it again - providing the consumers products that can last long.
