OnePlus recently released the "OnePlus 2". This phone model is OnePlus' second phone, but news suggest that a third phone from the company will also be released anytime soon. Carl Pei, a co founder of OnePlus did mention that a third phone will be released or launched by the year's end. However, he did not specify any differences the third phone will have when compared to "OnePlus 2".
If leaked photos were to be believed, they kinda imply that the third phone shall be the "OnePlus Mini". This is one exciting news considering how well the Mini looks like. It has a rear fingerprint scanner alongside two cameras that are both paired with a flash. Two speaker grills can be found by the handset's bottom part and as to the design, it is a but more round compared to the first two handsets from OnePlus. These specifications, if true, makes the "OnePlus Mini" a good option. The fingerprint scanner gives it a shot in competing with other newly released phones.
The leaks appear to be official but no words have been heard from the main man himself, Carl Pei, although it makes so much sense if the company decides to release a mid range phone as their third handset before they pour all out attention to a "OnePlus 3".
OnePlus has been a good source of smartphones in the recent years. In fact, many people are still buying the "OnePlus 2' because of OnePlus' invitation system. So its pretty much a good control strategy if the company doesn't take away people's entire attention with a big "OnePlus 3" release soon, a good OnePlus Mini shall be a great idea for a third phone.
We do hope that there wouldn't be any problems with the next release of a OnePlus phone, like what happened with the "OnePlus 2", where Carl Pei had to apologize for the delays and unfulfilled ETA's. Nonetheless, delays are probably part of any business. As to the next phone from OnePlus, we can't wait to see how it looks like.
