Celebrity Homes: Crash into the Homes of Hollywood's Highest-Paid Celebs

As they say, the rich and the famous want to live the good life. With their fat paychecks, they obviously can. Elle Decor looks into some of the amazing homes of the celebrities who made it to Forbes' "World's Highest-Paid Superstars" list.

Character actor Johnny Depp, widely known as Captain Jack Sparrow from the "Pirates of the Carribean" movie franchise, earned $30 million last year, making him 87th on Forbes' list. He can also add "real estate mogul" to his impressive resume, with his stunning European homes. Elle Decor reported that Depp has owned an entire French village that sits on a massive 37-acre land. The actor is currently trying to sell it for $26 million. Also on the market is the "love nest" he shared with long-time beau Kate Moss. Listed at $14.9 million, the NYC townhouse mirrors the actor's quirky personality and the supermodel's grunge style.

Coming in at the halfway mark is actor Tom Cruise, who made it at number 52. This year alone, he banked $40 million from his hit movie "Mission: Impossible The Rogue Nation." According to Elle, the 53-year-old actor currently has three homes on the market, including the Beverly Hills mansion he has quietly listed recently for a cool $50 million. The property was the very same house he and his ex-wife Katie Holmes shared. The multi-winged, 10,000 square feet estate has seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, with a lighted tennis court, a fountain as huge as a swimming pool, a real swimming pool, and a number of separate guesthouses.

At number 25 is Lady Gaga, who raked in a $59 million this year. Mother Monster's den, a $23 million Malibu mansion, is astonishingly sophisticated, very different from her concert persona. According to Curbed, the 10,270-square-foot beachfront property is decked with a wine cellar, bowling alley, and a fully equipped theater.

The "Queen of Daytime Television," Ellen DeGeneres, sits on Forbes' number 12 spot, earning $75 million. Ellen is a self-professed lover of architecture and home designs, and even launched a furniture design reality show on HGTV. According to Elle Decor, the host has just repurchased a house she has already previously sold, among the many properties she buys, flips, and sells. Not that she needs the extra cash.

Taylor Swift is only 25, but she blissfully sits on Forbes' list at number 8, with a whopping $80 million in earnings. Elle Decor reports that the singer-songwriter owns quite a number of houses, including a Beverly Hills home, a Rhode Island mansion and a huge, $20 million New York penthouse. The 8,400-square-foot penthouse has seven bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms. Not too shabby for a 25-year-old.
