After Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's real estate fickle flu, looks like it has affected indie filmmaker/writer/model/director/actor, Vincent Gallo too.
Gallo recently purchased a Jean Nouvel designed condo for $2 million in West Chelsea, New York. But guess what? Gallo has already flipped it on the open listing market with an asking price of $2.2 million.
According to the New York Observer, Gallo purchased the property from its owners, Diane Zuckerman and Michael Hite. Diane and Michel had rented the property for around $10,000 a month before listing it for sale. However, they were desperate to unload the place and sold it at a discount of around $400,000.
Apparently, Gallo will be moving away from Los Angeles. He recently listed his LA condo in the Biscuit Lofts building for an asking price of $1.2 million. The condo is under contract for sale for a yet-to-be-confirmed price, reports Curbed.
The current listing records show that the New York condo that Gallo has flipped on the open market is spread across an area of 1,325 square feet comprising of 1 bedroom and 1.5 bathrooms. The home features floor-to-ceiling windows and white-tiled flooring. The bedroom has huge walk-in closets and an attached bathroom. The kitchen is a narrow alleyway with custom cabinetry and contemporary equipment. The place has a spacious living room and a frontal loggia as well, reports Real Estalker.
Gallo is a prominent property flipper and this is not the first time he has purchased and listed a home at such a whizzing pace. He also grabbed headlines for selling "semen" as "Vincent Gallo Merchandise."
Gallo is famous for his multiple talents and straight forward views. When Gallo was asked to give away a few pearls of wisdom to struggling actors, he said:
"Well, if you want to be an actor, move to a major city, either in L.A. or N.Y. and every day do as many things as you possibly can to reach that goal. But make sure that goal is set so high, that if you reach one-tenth of the goal, you've gone a long ways. Fantasize and believe that you could star in a 100 Oscar-winning movies, and just work for that every day. Let's face it, most people want to be actors because they want unconditional love and power and money and to be able to act out a character fantasy that involves themselves. So if one is truly honest about themselves in that way, then you're on the right path. If not, the process becomes convoluted. You have to go out grab it, and demand it. That's my advice. "
