Microsoft Lumia Price, Specs, Release Date: 950/950 XL Reportedly Comes with Windows 10, Lumia 550 Reveals Leaked Images

On Microsoft's Windows 10 devices event on Oct. 6 in New York City, new Lumia flagships will be released that includes the Lumia 950, Lumia 950XL and the Lumia 550.

The new Lumia devices will be launched with Windows 10 Mobile Threshold 1, WinBeta reported. The Lumia 950 and 950 XL are expected to have the build number 10240, the same RTM version use for PCs that were released on July 29.

The price of the new Lumia 950 and 950XL will be slightly cheaper than iPhone 6s and the 6s+ but it will have great value than other high-end smart phones because it is bundled with €200 worth of accessories, that is rumored to include a dock to support the new Continuum feature of Windows 10 Mobile, a smart cover, and a stylus for the 950XL, Smartphone France reported.

The Lumia 950 will feature a 5.2-inch WQHD (1440×2560) OLED display. It will run on Snapdragon 808 with 64-bit Hexa-core. Its rear camera is 20MP PureView and front camera is 5MP wide-angle.

Meanwhile, Lumia 950 XL has a larger screen at 5.7-inch WQHD (1440×2560) OLED display. The device is equipped with Snapdragon 810, 64-bit Octa core. As for its camera, it has a 20MP PureView rear camera with triple LED flash and 5MP wide-angle front facing camera. It also boasts a 1mm silver ring inside the circumference of the black camera pod.

Both flagships are also rumored to have an Iris scanner (infrared) for Windows Hello, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot and would be available in Matte White, black, or blue polycarbonate body.

On the other hand, the Microsoft Lumia 550 would come in four color versions -- white, red, blue, and black, which were revealed in recently leaked images of the device.

Lumia 550 will have a 4.7-inch 720p AMOLED touchscreen, 8GB of internal storage, and would run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 210 SoC, boasting a 1.1 GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU. It is also expected that Lumia 550 will feature Cat.4 LTE support, GSM Arena reported.

As Microsoft's event approaches, it is expected that more rumors about these devices will circulate.
