J.K. Rowling's 'Pottermore' Introduces Harry Potter's Family History - How They Got Rich!

According to US Magazine, the said website "Pottermore" opens an area partly o introduce the background of Harry Potter and to the excitement of fans, they will also know in the website how the family of Harry got the abundantly rich. It was said in the article that Potter's real surname was "Potterer" and that this surname originates way back from the 12th century from a wizard whose name is "Linfred of Stinchcombe."

IGN reports that Potter's ancestor Linfred is fond of "pottering about in his garden with all his funny plants." And thus, he was coined with the name "Potterer." Linfred eventually accumulated some riches from his invented potions and this eventually had grown over time, thanks to another of Harry's past relative named Fleamont Potter, who in the 1900 as said in the article, discovered a "Sleekeazy's Hair Potion." The potion that Fleamonth discovered "quadrupled" the fortune that Linfred left and this was passed on to Harry after her parent's death.

Aside from the rich heritage where Harry Potter came from, the website also discussed the "Sacred Twenty-Eight," in which pure-blooded wizards are listed and it tackles how the "Potter" family did not belong to the so-called group because of "an anonymous compiler" that takes the "Potter" name belongs from a "tainted blood."

IGN also included a trivia about the invisibility cloak which based from the website was passed on to Harry from the Peverell family to Iolanthe.
