5-1 Victory: 'Robert Lewandowski' and His Record Breaking 5 Goals in Less Than 10 Minutes Upset Wolfsburg

"You just cannot be that good!"

Those were the words of the commentator of the recently concluded Wolfsburg vs. Bayern football match after witnessing five goals in less than ten minutes coming from a substitute player Robert Lewandowski. Robert Lewandowski's five goals did not just catapult Bayern Munich to a sensational 5-1 victory, but the talked about Polish striker also earned some records in the process. (Click for Video)

Lewandowski, for the record, is the latest Bayern player who scored five goals in one game since Dieter Hoeness in 1984. He is also the first player to set five goals in a Bundesliga match since the time of Michael Tonnies in 1991, making Lewandowski the 14th player to achieve it in the said football league. If only he had made one more goal during that match, Lewandowski would have matched the record set by Dieter Muller in 1977 for most goals in a match.

During the game, while being pulled out from bench in order to replace Juan Bernat, the 27 year-old striker only thought of shooting some goals. According to espnfcasia Lewandowski stated that;

"I am very satisfied, that was incredible. I just wanted to shoot, I didn't really think what will happen afterwards. Having been one down, we knew that we must improve and score twice at least. But five goals, that's incredible." He then added, "I don't know how fast it was, but it was fast," he added. "But when you're on the pitch, you're just focused on football. After the fourth I looked at the scoreboard, it was the 60th minute and I only thought: 'Ooh.'

Having been hit by five goals coming from Robert Lewandowski, Bayern's opposing team, Wolfsburg, was not able to come back for a victory. Dieter Hecking, the coach of Wolfsburg, was quoted by espnfcasia saying that;

"What can I say. A world-class strike shot five times on goal and could have scored seven. This is how it felt for us. But no matter the quality something like this can not happen. We had a good first half, Bayern could not get any flow. Then these nine minutes come, one cannot explain this."

The football prowess displayed by Lewandowski coming straight from the bench really made an impact on his confidence and most especially on his team. What do you think about the coming games? Can Lewandowski pull the same trick as he did against Wolfsburg? Feel free to share and comment below.
