Apple Could Create A Change With Their Headset Jack And Annoy Everybody

Apple is always at the center of attention when it comes to annoying consumers with changes that affect the compatibility between old handsets and new ones. Remember when Apple decided to bring us the lightning adapter? It made the old charger go into a state of obsoletion.

It looks like they are gonna do it again with the Apple's headset jack. Apple wants to make their next series of phones thinner than before, but the 3.5 mm jack can't be shrunk down. So it has been rumored that Apple has patented a technology for headphones connection. It will be called the 'D jack' (let's wait and see what people can say about that D thing). It will have a 2 mm diameter and it would need a connector.

This new headset change will be way thinner than other headphone connectors as the typical jack is a big 3.5 mm. The iPhone 7 is expected to have major design changes, so it won't be a big shock if the company go for very thin this time.

Going for a smaller headphone jack is one big step to making the iPhone thinner than ever. Although this patent just came out in the news, it was said that it was filed 4 years ago. So it's not impossible that Apple decides to use it anytime soon.

So, the question remains, how will people react to this change? Will Apple get away with it like they did with the lightning adapter? For a prediction, yes they will probably get away with it. Besides, if they go for a thinner phone, some phone parts have to be affected. If the headset jack is at stake, it's not impossible that Apple is willing to risk that. Plus change is inevitable, we just gotta embrace it. Let's just hope that this change is all for the best and that this has no bad effects on the headset's functionality.
