Microsoft 'Lumia 950 XL' Specs, Price: New Device May Cost The Same As The 'iPhone 6S'

Microsoft is on its way to releasing its new phone after being quite inactive for the past six months. But the thing about this next release is that news suggest that it won't come in a cheap price. Pricing leaks say that the "Lumia 950 XL" will have the same price as Europe's "iPhone 6S" release. It was said that the "Lumia 950" will cost €659 and the "Lumia 950 XL" will be priced €749.

That pricing is in no way cheap. They are going for the same pricing Apple gives its latest iPhones. But is it worth it? It probably is. There is no question about Lumia's phones, it's just about the competition with iPhones. Did they make the right decision about the pricing if the price leaks are right?

As to the specs of Lumia's next phones, the "Lumia 950" will have a resolution of 1440 x 2560 in a 5.2 inch display. It will carry a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset and a RAM of 3 GB. The internal storage is 32 GB and the battery will be a 3000 mAh battery.

The larger variant, the "Lumia 950 XL" will have a 5.7 inch display and a resolution of 1440 x 2560. The processor will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and the RAM is the same as the "Lumia 950." It will use a 3300 mAh battery.

Apart from the satisfying 32 GB storage, it will have a micro SD slot and cameras of 20 MP Pureview rear and 5 MP selfie cam.

The specs seem great and knowing Lumia, it's certain that the phones are durable. But it remains an interesting fact that Microsoft thinks that pricing their phones high is a good idea. Nonetheless, let's just wait for more news from the company itself. It's still possible that the rumored specs are lower than the actual specs and prices may also not be accurate as of the moment. And the best thing to wait for is, will people give "Microsoft Lumia 950 XL" a shot?
