"Arrow" Season 4 is set to bring familiar faces back to the show, with Laurel (Katie Cassidy), Thea (Willia Holland), Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), Nyssa (Katrina Law) and Tatsu (Rila Fukushima) returning based on the recent trailer released. Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), after leaving with Felicity Smoak in Season 3, is making a comeback to the Sterling City as well, now as Green Arrow.
It would be interesting how the team would react to their leader's return after Oliver left them suddenly. Oliver is also likely to deal with Diggle (David Ramsey) when he returned to the city, as reported by Unreality TV. The new trailer showed the women of "Arrow" returning to the upcoming season and they're going to kick some ass like other guys can do. As it seems, their lives have been somehow changed courtesy of the League of Assassins in Season 3.
Fans is going to meet Damian Darhk (Neal McDonough), the season's big bad guy. But he's not going to be the only villain. Darhk is part of an organization called H.I.V.E. In an interview with Rotten Tomatoes, writer/producer Marc Guggenheim said, "The fun of season four is that we really hit the ground running right from the premiere. You meet Damian. You'll get a sense of what he's up to, certainly - what his master plan is - something that is going to be an ongoing mystery during the course of at least the first half of the season. We're really excited to also be doing a whole organization of villains, not just one person."
While "Arrow" has tried to keep realistic heroes in a real world in the past seasons, Guggenheim has revealed that magic will be introduced in the new season. "I would say, so far, it feels pretty organic from our perspective. I think that's for a couple of reasons," the producer told Rotten Tomatoes.
"In respect to the world of magic, I think that's something that lives within the world of Arrow probably a lot easier than superpowers. We've already introduced superpowers into the world, so certainly once you've seen superpowers on Arrow, it's a little bit easier. We've also laid the foundation for mysticism last year, not just with the Lazarus Pit, but also with Oliver's comment to Ra's al Ghul that he's seen some things in the world that can't be explained," Guggenheim added.
CW's "Arrow" Season 4 premieres on Oct. 7. Watch the trailer below.
