Amy Poehler and Nick Kroll End Their Relationship After 2 Years

Comedians and partners in real life, Amy Poehler and Nick Kroll broke up after two years of being together.

According to sources, their in-demand schedules played a big part in their decision to call it quits. Being among the busiest comic stars in Hollywood, both of them reportedly had to spend more time apart than together.

"Unfortunately, they just couldn't make the relationship work with their schedules," an insider told Us Weekly.

It is said that Amy and Nick's work got in the way after they received several new projects. "They really tried, but it just wasn't realistic anymore," the source added. "They were spending more time apart than together."

The comedians began dating in 2012. Nick was the first man Amy dated after she split with her ex-husband, Will Arnett. The "Parks and Recreation" actress and "The Millers" star are parents to their two kids, Archie, 6, and Abel, 5, according to People. They got married in 2003 and parted ways in 2012 after nine years.

In 2012, Amy and Nick's romance began to surface when the mother of two admitted in her 2014 memoir "Yes Please" that she's in a relationship, Extra TV reports. Amy was so proud of her then-boyfriend, claiming that she's got what she always wanted: a comedian who "gets her."

"I have a boyfriend who knows how to settle me. He puts his hand on my chest and tells me boring stories. On one of our first nights together, I woke up apologizing for my snoring and he pulled out the two earplugs he had worn to bed so that he could hear what I was saying. It was one of the most romantic gestures I have ever seen," she wrote.
