Fans have been waiting a long time for the next generation in the Elder Scrolls game series. Now that Fallout 4 is getting released in November, fans are hoping that Bethesda will be on to Elder Scroll 6 next. However, fans of this role-playing game would have to stick with Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for a while or explore Elder Scrolls Online because Elders Scrolls 6 is not coming anytime soon.
According to Dual Shockers, Bethesda Game Studio always focuses on one game. Fallout 4 is about to be released but that does not mean their work is done and basing on what Bethesda's VP of Marketing Pete Hines has told Dual Shockers during a chat at Gamescom, the entire studio is 100% focused on Fallout 4. So with a game to complete, some mod support to do, some possible downloadable content (DLCs) to come it might be long befere Bethesda Game Studios move on to developing Elder Scrolls 6.
Reportedly, Hines has told Telegraph, "We do smaller stuff, we don't publish to scale, and we try to publish to quality. Make sure everything we do is noteworthy."
On the brighter side, it may mean plenty of time for Bethesda to look into the places that fans want to see and explore more in the world of Elder Scrolls 6. According to Cinema Blend, there are five interesting locations to explore so hopefully the developers will include them in the next Elder Scrolls Game. One of those locations is Hammerfell, which would be a good place to confront Dominion, an empire of elves that has been introduced in the previous Elder Scrolls games. The other four mysterious locations mentioned are Akavir, Yokuda, Pyandonea, Aldmeris.
So for the sake of quality, it may be worth the wait. In the meantime, Bethesda is releasing strategy card game "The Elder Scrolls: Legends" this September. What do you think about Bethesda's one-game-at-a-time system? Are you excited for Fallout 4 or Elder Scrolls 6?
