'LG G5' Specs, News: New Device To Come With A 20MP 1/2'' Sony Sensor, Snapdragon 820

"LG G4" did get some good reviews when it was released, primarily for its camera. And just five months after LG G4's official release, news about its successor already arise in the web. According to GSMarena, their source has provided them some valuable claims about the "LG G5," and these claims are about two of the most important area of the "LG G5" - the camera and the processor.

It was said that the camera of the "LG G5" will use a new "Sony made 20 MP sensor with a half inch diagonal". This was said to be one of the largest there is, as the G4 used a 1/2.6" diagonal. The Samasung Galaxy and Apple's recent flagships use a smaller 1/3" chip. Even Sony's Z5 only uses a 1/2.3" imager. What's interesting about this is that this new sensor won't be used by other phone producers and will only be provided to LG.

It was also claimed that the upcoming G5 will use a Snapdragon 820 chip. This is however an easy thing to assume even without sources. However, there are also reports that say LG is currently developing their own high end chipset. Nonetheless, they will stick with Qualcomm at least for one more generation. According to the tech website, their source is pretty much reliable, but things may still change. A few more months is left before the release of the "LG G5", so they can still come up with some minor changes.

If all the source's information were true, "LG G5" can indeed compete with its successful predecessor. The camera will be a good upgrade, and the new sensor will definitely be one of its assets. It hasn't been very long since G4 went out, but the consumers are probably as ready as ever for the release of the "LG G5".
