The critically-acclaimed AMC show filmed in the southern estates of Georgia. The first home in the gallery belonged to Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln, the brave-turned-erratic leader who began the journey to his deserted home on 817 Cherokee Ave. after waking from a coma. The Atlanta home was built in 1903 and purchased for $177,000 in 2008. The 1,984-square foot estate had to undergo renovations after the first season premiere.

No clue wheter any damges were incurrred from the walkers.

Also in season one, we find the home of Morgan Jones, who was the single father many would remembers as the man who stalked his zombie wife from his home as they continued to ravage his neighborhood.

Grimes sought refuge in Jones' home but the home and its residents was eventually put at risk. Located on 376 Ormond St. in Atlanta, the 1,906-square-foot home was sold in September 2011 for $338,000. That was less than a year after "The Walking Dead" premiered. The estate probably had no hard time finding a buyer after it pushed its way to zombie-home stardom.

On the listing, it was illustrated as a "gorgeous home with tons of upgrades," reported Zillow blog, with close proximity to Grant Park and Zoo Atlanta.

In season two we were welcomed into the cattle-grazing farm of Hershel Greene, played by Scott Wilson. Located on Lone Oak Dr. in Senoia, Ga., the typical Georgian home is actually a private residence, and it fit perfectly for the role of a veterinarian and a former farmer who has lived on the estate for generations.

The invasion of zombies was probably most recognizable here. Fans witnessed the separation of a once robust gang and the youngest cast member's near-death experience.

The scene were Hershel tried to fend off the zombies to save this massive house was unforgettable. This classic home can still be found at the end of Loan Oak Drive, and we may even find more homes on sale from the series after the zombies are through with it.
