'Scandal' Season 5 Spoilers & Trailer: Kate Burton's Sally Langston Slams Tony Goldwyn's President Fitzgerald Grant In New Teaser

A new teaser for "Scandal" Season 5 was recently released online, and it features actress Kate Burton in her role as Vice President Sally Langston.

In the clip, VP Langston could be seen doing an episode of her show, "The Liberty Report." During her spiel, the VP threw shade at President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) who was having a party at the White House. According to Langston, President Fitz's party at the White House serves as a mockery of all of the lies he has told the people of America.

The clip was taken from the premiere episode of "Scandal" Season 5 titled "Heavy is the Head." This means that the pilot for the upcoming installment will feature an encounter between the president and the vice president of the United States.

Meanwhile, "Heavy is the Head" will also focus on President Fitz's attempts at ending his marriage to Mellie (Bellamy Young). In Season 4, President Fitz and Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) decided to reunite after their on-and-off relationship.

Throughout the past seasons, Olivia and President Fitz have always wanted to make their relationship official, but the president was married, and Olivia was with Jake Ballard (Scott Foley) for a short period of time. However, Olivia and President Fitz's reunion doesn't mean that their relationship will finally be peaceful this time around.

There are rumors that Mellie wouldn't agree with President Fitz's desire to end their relationship. Fans are also speculating that Mellie could work together with Elizabeth North (Portia de Rossi) in taking the president down, according to Design & Trend.

In other news, the Gladiators will also fall apart after Huck (Guillermo Diaz) and Quinn (Katie Lowes) fought and almost killed each other in Season 4.

"Scandal" Season 5 will premiere on ABC on Sept. 24 at 9 p.m. ET.
