The biggest question for the Season 3 premiere of "The Blacklist" is how Liz (Megan Boone) and Red (James Spader) will go out of the city now that they are being hunted by the feds. It was earlier reported that Liz is now on the run because of the murder of Attorney General Tom Connolly (Reed Birney). It was also earlier revealed that Red will be doing unconventional ways in order for them to safely leave the city.
According to Christian Post, episode 1 of Season 3 will be focusing on Liz and how she will try to stay hidden from the FBI. It was also reported that as the season progresses, the relationship between the two will be revealed, making the fans speculate that Red may be Liz's biological father. Liz, on the other hand, will try to discover more about her past, particularly about her mother who was also speculated to be an ex-KGB operative, Katarina Rostova.
In the sneak peek of the new season, the audience will see that Liz is now blonde to confuse the feds who are after her. According to the report, the show will have a more urgent tone as the FBI is trying to look for Liz and Red as soon as they can and it was also reported that bigger issues will be at stake in the new season.
Forbes reports that executive producer John Eisendrath revealed in an earlier interview that the show will become more serialized compared with the previous seasons. It was also reported that the viewers will see a different kind of Liz in this season, beyond her former job and her stable life with her husband.
Reports also say that viewers will be seeing not only physical changes with Liz now that her life is spiraling down, but she will be undergoing some psychological changes as well.
"The Blacklist" will return for Season 3 on October 1.
