Apple's iPhone 6 and 6s have just been released with very impressive features and improvements from its predecessors. It is loaded with Force Touch technology that lets you control the phone by the pressure of your finger press and features like "peek and pop", which allows you to preview a certain task by pressing lightly without leaving your current interface or easily get to the app by pressing deeper. Most importantly, iPhone 6 and 6s come with powerful processors and a camera that has 12MP sensor with optical image stabilization and 4K capture. The latest iPhones promise very impressive performance that most users would expect from smartphones. But rumor has it that iPhone 7 will have even better specs than the current Apple flagship and as early as now, reports are saying that there will be three noteable target areas for improvement.
The first is with the weight and size. The current iPhone is nearly 7mm thick. According to Apple Insider, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, his sources indicate that Apple is planning to make the next iPhone thinner and lighter and most probably between 6.0 and 6.5 millimeters like the current iPod touch and iPad Air 2, which are both at 6.1 mm in thickness.
On the other hand, according to IBT, the iPhone 7 will have a so-called "Protective Mechanism for an Electronic Device". This will incorporate a vibration motor that will keep the device from falling face-down. It was reported that Apple was awarded a patent for this technology by the US Patent and Trademark Office.
Last but hopefully not the least, according to the Motley Fool, the iPhone 7 is expected to have an even better camera. The boost, however, is not expected in the resolution but rather in the camera sensor. This is in line with what IBT has reported. The next iPhone reportedly will have a Mirror Tilt Actuation that will include the "use of image sensors which the iOS will adjust according to the direction of the field of view of the camera to compensate for user motion."
The iPhone is not yet confirmed to have these boosts, but it doesn't seem farfetched. If these upgrades will be added to the next iPhone, will you be willing to pass the iPhone 6 or 6s and opt for an iPhone 7 instead? Share your thoughts below.
