The single-player horror survival game "Five Nights at Freddy's" may be simple but it is not for the faint of heart especially those who don't like the feeling of anxiety caused by time and surprise. Surprisingly the simplistic approach of this game earned it a lot of positive reviews and it has become so popular it is available on iOS, Android and Microsoft Windows platforms and it has made four releases since 2014.
Scott Cawthon, the creator of "Five Nights at Freddy's" has recently announced via Steam that there won't be a fifth release of the game, not in the game play fans had known it to be. He wrote, "It's very important for me to say again that there will NOT be a Five Nights at Freddy's 5. The story is complete, and the Halloween update and new game will not add to it." So does this mean no more flicking flashlights or checking security cameras to check if the animatronics are out to kill you?
Instead, the next "Five Nights at Freddy's" is going to be an RPG game. On Steam he continued, "The new game that I'm working on will be called FNAF World. It will not be a horror game, but a role playing game where you create a party using the huge selection of characters from the FNaF games, including the classic, withered, toy, phantom, and nightmare versions. I've been working steadily on characters and hope to start on enemy models next week."
Unfortunately, fans cannot expect the RPG game to be out very soon. As he has said on Steam, the demo will not be ready by Halloween because FNAF World is "significantly larger" than the previous versions. Moreover, he has mentioned that that game is still on its early stage of development.
Creator Scott himself doesn't have an estimated date of release yet, but according to his website, "FNAF World" is coming 2016 with the word "seriously" enclosed in parenthesis. He has also mentioned that like the previous games FNAF World will be available on PC, Android, and iOS.
