"Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3," will not be available in single player campaign versions in PS3 and Xbox 360. Only multiplayer and Zombies gameplay are the available modes of the game, featuring a scope of 1-4 players coop campaign.
Aside from that, "The Weapon Paint Shop" and "eSports tools" will be excluded for last gen players. Old consoles will also not acquire the latest version of the popular Nuketown map, that comes as a pre-order bonus for the other platforms, Ars Technica reported.
Activision announced that the "thematic, cinematic core of the series won't make the cut on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, which is a reverse of a previous announcement saying it will have such campaign," Stuff TV reported.
It added that the co-op campaign was designed for the higher-end platforms and couldn't be scaled down at a high-enough quality for older consoles.
Due to the major losses, Activision is selling $10 off the price for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions for $49.99. But it will come with a bonus download of 2010's original "Call of Duty: Black Ops" game, which had been possibly played already by its fans. Meanwhile, for platforms receiving the full version of the game, price is at $59.99.
On a positive note, the last-gen versions of Black Ops III will still include the online multiplayer component. It will come with complete momentum-based movement and different Specialist classes. It will also feature the cooperative Zombies mode, "Shadows of Evil," Gotta Be Mobile reported.
Another good thing is that the last-gen versions were not outright canceled like what happened to Mortal Kombat X. But for owners of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, this is a bad news, since it means they will be missing a lot from the game.
"Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3" is set for release on Nov. 6 this year, will be a five platform affair, available for shipping on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
