On last week's episode "Girl Meets World" season 2 episode 17 titled "Girl Meets Rileytown," the friendship of Riley and Maya was put under a test. When Riley confronted yet another phase in herself that concerns her insecurities and this time over her best friend Maya. Riley was taken aback by the name that Maya gave her which is "Rileytown." She mistook it as a joke that meant something about her "goofiness," "silliness" and "weirdness." Even if Maya reasons out that the term "Rileytown" simply means that she is "unique" and "wonderful." Riley still didn't get this as a positive note and even called Maya a "bully."
On the other hand, Corey discusses how to resolve conflicts in class. But still Riley has not gotten over the issue with "Rileytown." She was distracted in class by checking on her phone and becomes aggravated again even challenged Maya for a duel. Maya agreed on the duel and both head on to Topanga's restaurant in which they had an ice cream duel. Riley poked the ice cream on Maya's face. Maya stayed cool with the situation and being the true friend that she is tried to understand what was happening with Riley. Maya figured out that someone was doing some damage on Riley and that Riley put the blame on her to bring up the situation. Lucas also helped Riley together with Farkel to face the "bully" who threatens her with her "goofy video."
To end the bully's scare tactics over Riley, Riley faced her together with the support of her classmates and friends. And she left an important message on the end which is about facing one's fears and that "true friends" accept you for whoever you are.
