Actress Kelly Rutherford sold her West Hollywood home for $980,000, reported Los Angeles Times.
Rutherford, 44, is currently starring as Lily van der Woodson, the mother of Blake Lively's character on "Gossip Girl." She's been playing the socialite and many-time divorcee since 2007 on the CW series until the final season wrapped in December last year.
Rutherford's bungalow replicates most, but not all the upscale features of "Gossip Girl" lifestyle. In fact this home tones it down a bit.
It features Spanish-style design and style. Built in 1926, the home includes 2 bedrooms and 1 3/4 bathrooms. The living room has wooden flooring that continues to the dining area and offers a skylight, and the kitchen had undergone renovations.Taking a step outside the living quarters would bring you to a deck that has a built-in bar and a barbecue.
The vintage home located in West Hollywood is not too far from the famous Sunset Strip that spans from Hollywood to Beverly Hills. It's best known for having the trendy boutiques, eateries, nightclubs and anything to do with the star-studded entertainment business.
The house was previously leased for $4,700 per month. According to property records retrieved by Los Angeles Tiimes, the actress bought the estate in 2005 for $1.25 million.
Real estate agent Carmela Orti of Keller Williams' Hollywood Hills firm represented the buyer during the transaction, while Agent Michelle Ficarra of Rodeo Realty in Beverly Hills listed the WeHo property for sale.
Aside from the gossip series, the Kentucky-born actress' career took off after being cast on "Melrose Place" between 1996 to 1999. She also made special appearances on "The District" and "Threat Matrix."
Recently Rutherford's run into some trouble with the legal system, according to the Hollywood Life. On NBC's "Dateline" she couldn't stop sobbing over her child custody battle. Rutherford married Daniel Giersch, a German businessman, and had two children, Hermes and Helena. The couple divorced in 2009 and since Giersch had his visa revoked, her kids remained in France with the father preventing her from seeing them.
