Pokemon Go Facts and Predictions: What We Know So Far

Pokemon Go has brought up a storm of tech lovers and Pokemon enthusiasts since its announcement. Pokemon Go is an augmented reality game based on the hit manga, anime, and game series 'Pokemon.'

The Pokemon Go has been carefully developed under the meticulous hands of The Pokemon Company and a former Google startup known for their augmented-reality game. Ingress, Niantic, and Nintendo are also throwing in some bits in the development and are in-charge of the improvement of the in-game experience through the Pokémon GO Plus.

"For the first time, Pokémon will roam free in the real world. Pokémon GO will allow players to capture Pokémons who inhabit parks, shopping areas, sidewalks and the countryside all around the world. Imagine discovering a Squirtle hiding along the waterfront in San Francisco, a Bulbasaur at Shinjuku Station or a Pikachu beneath the Eiffel Tower," said John Hanke, founder of Niantic.

The Pokemon Go Plus is a utility companion device that connects through Bluetooth and alerts the user if there is a nearby Pokemon via sending haptic feedback. Simple actions such as throwing a Pokeball to a wild Pokemon can also be done in the Pokemon Go Plus.

From the information we have gathered through our resources, here is what we currently know about the Pokemon Go.

1. It is free to download for Android and iOS devices but also has an in-app purchase feature. It is still currently unknown whether Pokemon Go will turn out to be another pay-to-win game or if the in-app purchase is just there to make the game more enjoyable.

2. No official release date has been announced yet. Rumors have been spreading that Pokemon Go will be available in the U.S. this Nov. 20. However, according to Tech Advisor, the Pokemon Go will not be released until 2016 and the Pokemon game that will be available in the U.S. on Nov. 20 is the Super Mystery Dungeon for Nintendo 3DS, which might be the source of the confusion.
