'Bones' Season 11 Spoilers: Agent Booth Out, New Guy In, and a 'Sleepy Hollow' Crossover?

The long wait is almost over. "Bones" season 11 is only a few days away from its premiere. The crime and investigative drama will join Hollywood's elite club of shows who have gone past 10 seasons. For every fan who wants to know what will happen to their beloved Agent Booth and Brennan, we've rounded up every bit of "Bones" scoops and updates.

Warning: major spoilers ahead.

1. Agent Seeley Booth will be gone.

Season 11's premise will pick up from season 10's ending. Agent Booth and Dr. Brennan are semi-retired, settling in the domesticated lifestyle with a newborn son. But in a shocking twist, the show starts off with Booth missing. In a promotional clip, it was revealed that Dr. Brennan goes back to the Jeffersonian to seek help in finding her husband. They find his remains and gun, but Brennan is adamant that her husband is alive.

Based on the show's episode synopsis on TV Guide, we won't be seeing Booth even on episode 2. The character's disappearance may be because of David Boreanaz, the actor playing Agent Booth, who was reported to have been suffering from an illness.

2. Cheer up, Brennan's right. He's not dead, and he won't be gone for long.

It's still unclear when exactly will Booth be found, and what the reason for his disappearance will be, but one thing's for sure: he will be back. Boreanaz himself confirmed this in his statement on TV Line, saying, "I'm happy to say that I'm now feeling great and will be back to work tomorrow, and that our 11th season premiere will broadcast on schedule - with me in it."

In fact, the actor's recent Twitter post shows a photo of the show's ongoing shoot.

3. A new guy is coming, and he's reportedly handsome.

The hunk is Angela's new assistant, and according to TV Line, this will create a tension between Angela and Hodgins. The two will also be getting more airtime this season. Executive producer Jonathan Collier told TV Line, "They have a really interesting, emotional, powerful arc. We're taking them on a ride." Collier added to watch out for episode 10, where "everything will change for them."

4. The world of "Bones" will collide with "Sleepy Hollow."

Because anything is possible on television. According to the statement released by Fox gathered by TV Line, while Booth and Brennan are investigating on a bunch of human remains, they will meet "Sleepy Hollow's" Ichabod Crane and Abbie Mills, who are searching for the same thing. The foursome will team up to solve the mystery. This will air on the Oct. 29 episode.

"Sleepy Hollow" executive producer Clifton Campbell told TV Line, "The creative freedom to merge these two worlds which, at face value, seem so different; but at their core have such striking similarities - mystery, intrigue and methodical deduction, wrapped up in such strong character partnerships."

"The Bones-Sleepy Hollow crossover is like a great episode of The X-Files, where the Bones hour is the Scully, logic-based perspective and the Sleepy Hollow hour is more Fox Mulder-esque. Put them together, and it's going to be a great two-hour event that fans of both programs are going to love," "Bones" executive producer Michael Peterson added.

Catch the season 11 premiere of "Bones" on Oct. 1, at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
