Now that Quinn (Rupert Friend) and Saul (Mandy Patinkin) are not by her side, can Carrie (Claire Danes) face the trouble that awaits her?
In the upcoming season 5 of Showtime's political drama "Homeland," Christian Today reports that Carrie will be haunted by her past and she will deal with problems which are similar to her previous profession. According to the site, the official synopsis of the premiere episode reveals that now that Carrie is alone in Berlin where she wanted to start a new life, she will become a target of her past with no one to protect her from it.
It was earlier reported that "Homeland" Season 5 will have a two-year jump from the events that happened in the Season 4 finale. According to reports, the premiere episode will show Carrie's new life with her daughter in Berlin and her new job in a private security firm. Apparently, Carrie will also have a new love interest in the new season.
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Carrie's new boyfriend would be in the person of Jonas Happich, to be played by Alexander Fehling. Fans are reportedly disappointed about this as they expected for Quinn to be together with Carrie at some point in the show. It was earlier reported that according to the show's story, Quinn was doing some CIA work in Syria.
Meanwhile, Rupert Friend also revealed in an interview that Quinn will become a "war machine" in Season 5. He added that his character will also be a brutal soldier in the new season after Carrie turned down his offer for a more serious relationship.
It was also reported that the treacherous Dar Adal (F Murray Abraham) will be coming back in Season 5. The show will also have new additions llike Sebastian Koch and Miranda Otto.
"Homeland" Season 5 will premiere on October 4.
