The actor will play Eric Warner and will follow the footsteps of Ryan Phillippe, who played the lead role in the show's Season 1. TVOM describes Warner as a "smart, well-educated and hardworking" heir to his family's private equity firm, but his wife will be suddenly murdered in the beginning of the show. The said tragic event will reportedly kick off the show's Season 2.
According to Crossmap, Eric will primarily be suspected of his wife's murder, but it was also said that another character, Dany, which will be played by Johnson, will also be another suspect in the case. It was previously reported that Juliette Lewis will be the only one to reprise her role in "Secrets and Lies."
