After the "Mistresses" season 3 finale, fans were quite disappointed when they heard that their favorite series would no longer be making a comeback. To their surprise however, "Mistresses" Season 4 will be back on ABC next year and exciting new twists would soon unfold.
During the "Mistresses" season 3 finale, the series ended with a death defying episode as Luca's killer was unmasked and it was Calista's assistant, Wilson. Wilson then pointed a gun at Joss and Calista, leaving fans hanging.
As per International Business Times' report, the series may have made a comeback but Jennifer Esposito however would no longer return with her role. During the previous series she played Calista Raines character, who was a fashion designer. She replaced Alyssa Milano after the production moved to Vancouver.
Entertainment Weekly then confirmed that Jennifer would no longer be going back for the fourth season as per one of the sources. The new website then stated that Esposito was only contracted for a year when she joined the series.
Though "Mistresses" still hasn't replaced her yet, there are numerous options being looked upon by the writers as the series would progress. After the last episode of season 3, fans can't help but ask if Wilson would shoot Calista in relation with her leaving the series? No specific reports were given in regards to this idea yet. But her absence would have a rationale as the 4th season would continue to unfold.
International Business Times then discussed Joss' fate with Harry. As of the last season it was shown that she did have a death defying struggle with Wilson [portrayed by Jarod Joseph]. The finale also revealed that Wilson was Luca's killer. Their love story isn't quite done yet as Harry would be going around the world due to his new Food Network gig.
