Fast and Furious Update: Did Vin Diesel just Reveal when the Fast and Furious Franchise will End?

The untimely death of Paul Walker signaled a change for the Fast & Furious franchise. Now the franchise seems to tell a more over-arching story. The all around nice guy Vin Diesel stated on his Facebook page that the Fast & Furious will indeed end after one more trilogy. He also said that Universal has been good to him and he promised that he would deliver one last trilogy to end the saga.

Death is a non-existent concept for most of the characters in the franchise. Despite the death of Paul Walker's character, he was simply "retired'' from the franchise. Characters such as Letty (played by Michelle Rodriguez), who died in continuity, has been restored back to life. Knowing the imminent conclusion of the franchise, Universal and the creative team behind the final trilogy could opt to ramp up the tension and make fair game death of the characters.

According to Cinema Blend, the movie series began in 2001 and has regularly released installments over the last 15 years. With only three installments left in the franchise, Universal studio is confident that Vin Diesel and the rest of the team will make them count.

Fast and Furious 8 will be seen in theaters on April 14, 2017.

Comic Book on the other hand, reports that Vin Diesel has revealed that the popular Fast & Furious series is going to end. The Hollywood Reporter also stated that Universal Studios was struggling to find a director for Fast & Furious 8. Vin Diesel referred to the next franchise as Fast 8, during the Teen Choice Awards. Fast 8 will be the beginning of a trilogy that will be followed by Fast 9 and 10 (apparently being the final Fast & Furious movie ever).

Vin Diesel also expressed in his Facebook that, "Universal has been ... so trusting of the vision... they have been like family... I promised the studio I would deliver one last Trilogy to end the saga."
