Celebrity Real Estate: Director James Mangold Selling His French Farmhouse in Los Angeles

The Director of "Walk the Line'' and "The Wolverine" is selling his French-style farmhouse in Los Angeles for $3.75 million. Known as "Hollywood's Society Architect,'' Gerard Colcord designed the 2,260-square-foot home of James Mangold in 1964.

The farmhouse sits on almost an acre of land and is beautifully located off a private road under the shade of large, sprawling sycamore trees. The recently updated three-bedroom home is properly taken care to maintain Colcord's original design. The living room features a large fireplace and hand-hewn wood beams.

According to Realtor, Mangold bought the property in 2006 for $2.275 million. The sale happened when his wife of 15 years, Catherine Konrad (who produced several of his films) filed for divorce in September 2014.

Mangold is scheduled to direct another "Wolverine'' movie, which is the last film of the claw-bearing comic book character of Hugh Jackman.

An American film and television director, screen writer and producer, James Mangold has directed several films that include "Walk the Line" (which he also co-wrote), "The Wolverine", "Girl", "Cop Land", "Interrupted", and the 2007 remake, "3:10 to Yuma." He also directed and produced pilots for the television series, "Men in Trees" (which ran from 2006 to 2008), "NYC 22" (2011 to 2012), and "Vegas" (2012 to 2013).

Director Mangold has worked consistently as director and feature writer since 1995. His first independent film, "Heavy", has won the best directing prize at the Sundance Film Festival. He also wrote and directed "Cop Land" which starred Sylvester Stallone, Robert De Niro, Harvey Keitel and Ray Liotta.

Celebrity Money reports that Mangold produced "Men in Trees", a TV series with 36 episodes from 2006 to 2008. He also produced "Vegas", a TV series with 20 episodes from 2012 to 2013, and is currently producing the "Zoo" TV series for the year 2015.

As director, he directed the film "Walk the Line'' in 2005, the TV series "Men in Trees" (one episode) in 2006, "Knight and Day'' in 2010, "NYC 22'' (one episode) in 2012, "Vegas'' (one episode) also in 2012, "The Wolverine'' in 2013, and the yet untitled and to be announced Wolverine sequel for 2017.
