Tracey Ullman Drops $2.6 Million on New Los Angeles Digs

Comedienne Tracey Ullman of the "Tracey Takes On..." fame has purchased a nice new home near Sunset Strip in Los Angeles for  $2.6 million.

According to the listing in Trulia, the home is a gated and private residence with a courtyard entry, The home is done up in heavy timber framing with glass windows and doors. The double story home measures around 3,013 square feet, comprising of 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

The home offers brilliant views of the canyons, mountains, the Getty and the city. Huge living spaces allow flowing access to the outdoors. A family room, a modern gourmet kitchen, a TV room and a warm and cozy fire pit are some of its other features. 

Apparently, Ullman's new Los Angeles digs was refurbished and designed by celebrity designer, Michael Smith. Smith has been the designer for the White House since 2008. In 2010, he gave the President's Oval Office a lovely makeover. He is also a member of the Committee for the Preservation of the White House.

Apart from her new digs, Ullman also owns a 5574 square feet Pacific Palisades home, which she had listed for a very short period in 2010. She took it off the market just 224 days after listing it for $5 million.

The Pacific Palisades home is a beauty in itself featuring Spanish architecture. The home has five bedrooms and six bathrooms. Ullman had purchased the property back in 1988 for around $1.8 million, reports Real Estalker.

In that same year, she also listed another of her Los Angeles properties for around $1.05 million. The residence was a contemporary one bedroom, two bathrooms home with 1461 square feet of living space.

Currently, Ullman lives in New York.

Tracey Ullman is a multi talented star with many awards and hit songs, movies and shows to her credit. She is loosely linked with the success of animated series "The Simpsons". Previously, Matt Groening created the animated characters as fillers in between the "Tracy Ullman Show". The Simpsons then went on to become one of the most popular primetime shows of the world.

When asked about the success of Simpsons, Ullman Said:

"I'm not jealous over the success of "The Simpsons". Not at all. They used to appear for 30 seconds in the middle of my show. Maybe they'll let me appear for 30 seconds in the middle of their show."
