Adobe Launches Photoshop Elements 14 and Premiere Elements 14 Aimed Especially for Hobbyists

The quality of your mobile snapshots and videos are about to get even better. Adobe has just recently released its latest and more affordable version of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements intended for hobbyists and consumers.

In a blog post by Adobe's Bob Gager, he said, "We built this version with the goal of helping you stay in the moment, enjoy your memories and make the most of your precious time. Elements 14 software uses content intelligence, automated features and a friendly interface to help you effortlessly turn your quick snapshots and video clips into amazing photos and movies."

In the latest version of this simple but powerful software, the company has made finding photos and videos to retouch way easier with a notable make over on the software's Elements organizer. Adobe also enhanced the Places view which make geo-tagging even easier.

But one of the most attractive addition to the software's features is the Shake Reduction feature which Adobe dubs as "your selfies' best friend." According to PC Mag, it lets you remove the blurring caused by shaky hands or with its "Haze Remover" it lets you sharpen backgrounds. Needless to say, Photoshop Elements is packed with other features such as step-by-step help for adding motion blurs and resizing photos, a new Fine Detail Selection option that lets you paint loosely over things like hair and pet fur, and Smart Looks for automated editing.

And for those who are in a hurry for results, Adobe says, "Elements analyzes the subject, color and lighting and Smart Looks gives you five effects that fit perfectly."

As for Premiere Elements 14, according to PC Mag, the software has new motion titles; a new guided edit feature for Color Pop, which lets you pop one color in a scene and make everything else black and white; step-by-step help for creating slow-motion effects; and support for 4K Ultra HD content.

Adobe's Gager wrote on the blog, "Since you always have your smartphone or tablet with you, you're probably taking more photos and videos than ever before. It's great that you can easily capture these moments, but ... you don't want to have to worry about things like lighting, composition and trying to get the perfect shot or video. We built this version with the goal of helping you stay in the moment."

Photoshop Elements alone costs $79.99 but you can get both Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements for $119.99.
