Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards are officially over after the former One Direction singer shared to the public that he's now moving on with a Perry Edwards look-alike.
No one was reportedly happy about the photo that Zayn shared on his Instagram account. It is said that everyone thinks it's a major insult to his ex-fiancee, who's putting a brave face everywhere she goes despite the fact that he dumped her.
While Malik's latest dig to the Little Mix singer is reportedly heartbreaking, One Direction member Harry Styles made sure that he got Perrie's back amidst the drama.
"Harry has reached out to Perrie to offer his support. He thinks what Zayn did was disrespectful and not cool at all," a source told HollywoodLife. "He says he would never ever do that to an ex and make it so public for the world to see. It's just mean and inconsiderate. He told Perrie to stay positive and to focus on herself and her music."
The 22-year-old newly single British hunk took the media by storm on Saturday, Sept. 26, when he shared with his 3.5 million Instagram followers a photo of him cuddling a mystery blonde girl. No caption was written on the post, but a shirtless Malik was seen getting intimate with the nameless blonde as he wrapped his tattooed arms around the girl.
Although Malik and Edwards have broken up in August, the gesture is still reportedly not acceptable. He received online backlash for what he did while people commented that the girl has a strong resemblance to his ex, Daily Mail reports.
Last week, Malik wrote on his Twitter page, "I don't want you to wait for me, I'm not coming home," which apparently also resulted in fans attacking the former 1D member. It seems that Malik is not getting the sympathy of people as he continues to throw shade to his previous partner.
Malik dumped Edwards through a text message in August. Zayn and Perrie were engaged and dated for nearly four years.
