Tennessee's most expensive listing, the Eagle's Rest Farm, has just received another price chop and is now asking for $25.5 million. Located in Franklin, the estate was first listed in 2008 with an asking price of $33 million.
After sitting unclaimed for a few months since its initial listing, the price was reduced to around $29million. In 2009, it was further lowered to $27 million. However, after a short hiatus from the listing market, the estate returned with the same price tag in 2010. Failing to sell since, the estate has now been listed for $25 million.
According to Curbed, the 700 acre estate offers complete country and farmhouse living experience. Built in 2001, a 20,430 square feet single family residence sits in the center of the large lot. The double story home has five bedrooms and ten bathrooms.
The home has a traditional look with hardwood flooring and French doors and windows. A long straight driveway leads to the entrance of the house. The big French doors open into a large living room that has a central staircase. A formal dining room, a great room with a fireplace and a piano and a library/study are some of its main living areas. The kitchen gives a traditional vibe but is fitted with modern appliances and built in cabinets. A wooden midrise island can be used as a breakfast bar.
The master suite is a huge 4000 square feet room with an exquisite attached bathroom. The home also has a screening room and a game/billiards room as well. Outside, the estate offers lush landscaped green stretches. The property includes an exclusive 12 acre lake, a horse barn, a maintenance shed and a caretaker's home. A shapely pool with a fountain also exists on the property. The residence has a showroom-style nine-car parking garage as well.
