'Rock Band 4' Release: Fans Will be Rocking Music by October 6

After five years, Harmonix is finally releasing the first new edition of music video game "Rock Band." "Rock Band 4" is said to be released for Microsoft's Xbox One and Sony's PlayStation 4 together on Oct. 6.

According to USA today, "Rock Band 4" is considered to be the first in the market to have been created for the latest gaming platforms. The music game is expected to be a hit in the market because of its added interactive songs from U2. It is the first for U2 to be in a rhythm action video game. With the purchase of "Rock Band 4" game software, specifically $59 and $79 separately; $129.99 with guitar controller, the players will initially get only the U2 songs "I Will Follow" from their debut album in 1980 "Boy" and "Cedarwood Road" from last year's "Songs of Innocence." But the developers assure that more U2 songs will be available as downloadable contents in the future.

In a blog released by the game's developer, Harmonix, the two U2 songs are "only the beginning for U2 and Rock Band." The blog also stated that, "'Cedarwood Road' and 'I Will Follow' join an already impressive soundtrack line-up including music by Aerosmith, Avenged Sevenfold, The Black Keys, Elvis Presley, Fall Out Boy, Foo Fighters, Jack White, Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars, St. Vincent, Queens of the Stone Age, Van Halen, The Who, and more!" The complete "Rock Band 4" soundtrack can be viewed on the game's official website here.

Fans can now pre-order the game and get the hardware controller bundles from video game retailers or by going to the "Rock Band 4" website. So by the time the game is already out in the market, most of the fans are all set to rock and roll.

The award-winning "Rock Band 4" will be launched globally on Oct. 6.
