‘Legend of Zelda 3DS’ 2015: Nintendo Reveals New Details, New Download Play, Number of Stages & More

Game developer Nintendo on Tuesday has announced new details for the company's upcoming "Legend of Zelda 3DS" video game. The company said that the video game will now support download play, and there will be 32 stages for players to discover, a report from Gamespot said.

"Download Play is a feature that allows someone to share a game for the purpose of multiplayer. Using this feature, someone who doesn't own a copy Nintendo's co-op Zelda can get a head start gathering resources and creating outfits. The saved data will transfer over if you decide to buy a copy of the game," IGN said.

Nintendo has earlier explained that download play is available only for the game's three-player campaign. It also emphasized that it wouldn't work on the game's PVP zone.

With download play, players can visit any world or dungeon that were unlocked by the cartridge owner. Players can also come up with up to two outfits based on the pre-created outfits by the owner of the game.

Aside from download play, the game will now have 32 total stages that gamers can play solo or with others via an online co-op. It was noted that Nintendo has allowed other gamers to play the title even if their co-op partners are not listed on a player's 3DS friends list.

"Triforce Heroes will have 36 outfits to collect, each sporting its own unique abilities to help you solve puzzles. Examples provided were the Goron Garb (lets Link swim in lava) and Zora Costume (allows Link to swim through water faster than usual). The game also includes Phto Bro in-game shop where you can post images to Miiverse and also unlock special Miiverse stamps that can be collected," the report said.

"The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes" is slated to be released on October 23.
