Chelsea Clinton and Husband Mark Mezvinsky Buying $10.5 Million NYC Apartment (PHOTOS)

Chelsea Clinton, the only child of former U.S. President Bill Clinton, is reportedly buying an apartment in Manhattan, New York, with husband Mark Mezvinsky for around $10.5 million.

The couple will be moving out of their much smaller rented Gramercy Park home and shifting to the top floor double-story penthouse-style condo in the Whitman building by June or July, reports Yahoo.

According to the listing details, the apartment lies on the fourth floor of the five-story building. The condo is a 5000 square feet pad comprising of four bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms. The place features hardwood flooring and floor to ceiling windows offering beautiful views of the city's skyline. The home also has a den, a home office, a private storage unit, a swanky kitchen, a planting terrace and a media room. The bedrooms have attached luxurious bathrooms.

The Whitman building was built in 1924. It has now been completely renovated and dubbed "Madison Square Park's newest ultra-luxury confection" by the New York Observer. All the homes were designed by the famous architecture firm, Jeffery Cole Architects. The building provides amenities like a modern fitness center, doorman facilities, and a health club as well.

A source told The New York Post that Chelsea and Marc "live in the neighborhood and found the building on their own while out walking."

"It's great for them, because it is in a hot neighborhood and it is very private. There aren't hundreds of neighbors, and there is great security," the source said.

According to The Daily News, Chelsea and Mark were spotted taking a private tour of the newly renovated building, along with Bill and Hillary Clinton. However, the place was swarming with construction workers who were awestruck by the former first family's presence. The family shook hands and posed for pictures with the civilians without any hassles.

The listing of all the homes in the Whiteman Building lies with Douglas Elliman Real Estate.
