Another character will be joining the crew of "Chicago Fire" in Season 4.
According to Design & Trend, a "Chicago Med" doctor will be making an appearance in the show.
The report states that Oliver Platt, who plays the role of Dr. Daniel Charles from the spin-off show "Chicago Med," will be part of the cast. Dr. Daniel Charles will reportedly help the firefighting crew, specifically Brett (Kara Killmer) and Chili (Dora Madison).
Executive producer Matt Olmstead previously said in an interview that "Brett and Chili go through a pretty heavy duty first call in the first episode." He added that Brett, in particular, will be having a hard time because she has developed a fixation on her baby.
It was confirmed that Dr. Charles will be also appearing in "Chicago PD" to promote the spinoff series, "Chicago Med." It was also reported that fans may also expect a four-way crossover between "Chicago Fire," "Chicago P.D.," "Chicago Med" and "Law & Order: SVU," which will be happening this season.
Meanwhile, Cartermatt reported that the official synopsis of "Chicago Fire" Season 4 reveals that Lt. Casey (Jesse Spencer) will find himself in a very dangerous situation when he tries to go undercover to bring down Nesbitt's (guest star Eric Mabius) strip club.
On the other hand, Severide (Taylor Kinney) gets a rude awakening because of the high turnover of the squad. According to the synopsis, Capt. Dallas Patterson (guest star Brian White) is going to be brought in, and Boden (Eamonn Walker) will be disappointed about it.
It was also reported that the citizens of Chicago will work together to protest the drug den present in the area. The crew of Firehouse 51, which was called to battle a raging fire, will be reportedly hindered by such protests.
"Chicago Fire" Season 4 will premiere on October 13.
