The team will be handling a new case as "Chicago PD" Season 3 premieres this week. It was reported that In the premiere episode, the most wanted criminal in the city will arrive and terrorize its people. According to Christian Today, Derek Keyes (Bokeem Woodbine) will be kidnapping Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) this time.
It was reported that Keyes abducted Halstead when he was trying to convince Lindsay (Sophia Bush) to come back to the force. It was earlier reported that Lindsay will then go on a solo mission to save Halstead once she goes back to work. Bush revealed in an earlier interview that the day Lindsay comes back to work will turn out to be one "hell of a day" for her.
Lindsay will reportedly be taking a break from work after her failures in the past season, and her mother will be there to comfort her. Fashion & Style reports that Lindsay's mother, Bunny (Markie Post), will be making accusations on a case which Voight (Jason Beghe) worked on in the past. According to the site, this will happen during the third episode of the season.
Meanwhile, the site also reported that Antonio (Jon Seda) will be shocked upon knowing the secret Olinksy (Elias Koteas) has been keeping.
According to Christian Today, the official synopsis of the show reveals that in the first part of the season, Halstead will try to reach out to Lindsay before she decides to take a break from her job. However, it seems like Voight is the very first person to lose interest in her, emphasizing that Lindsay has already made her choice and they can't do anything about it. On the other hand, Halstead will reportedly still try his best to bring Lindsay back to the team.
"Chicago PD" will return for Season 3 on Thursday on NBC.
