'Bachelorette' Contestant and Former Real Estate Agent 'Michael Turnbull' Receives Major Backlash for Exaggerated Career Revelations

Following Michael Turnbull's appearance on the TV show The Bachelorette on Wednesday, football fans from all over Australia could not help but try to discover more about Michael's identity. Why all the fuzz? According to Brisbane Times the 34-year old has, on TV, told Bachelorette, Sam Frost "The highlight of my career was playing for Australia and the Socceroos and also the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000." It was hard to believe for many soccer fans because it turns out he played just six top-flight football games since 2004 and the fans were quick to discover that he never went on to play for the Socceroos, the Australian national football team and neither he went to play during the Sydney Olympics.

However, he did play some football, according to Brisbane Times, Michael Turnbull played just six games in the A-League, for 540 minutes for the now defunct New Zealand Knights in the 2006-07 season. He was also part of Melbourne Victory's squad last season, but he only played two games not to mention that he was merely signed as an injury replacement player during their finals series.

It turns out that before Michael Turnbull became famous among soccer fans because he was already a familiar face in the Brisbane real estate sector, where he seems to be doing rather well. According to Domain, Turnbull is the founder and Principal of South Brisbane agency Onehome Real Estate. Moreover, he reportedly launched the successful business as a sole operator six years ago, and has since grown his staff to a team of 12.

Michael Turnbull should have talked about his successful business Onehome Real Estate, which is said to be his primary career currently, rather than exaggerating on his soccer career.
