This is such a tragic news over the Hollywood community! On Sept. 28 Jim Carrey's ex-girlfriend Cathriona White was found dead in her home in Los Angeles. Apparently, it was reported by Hollywood Life that the 28-year-old White committed suicide.
According to the article, Lt. Fred Corral of the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner said that, "The young woman was brought in at 20:40 hours from a residence in Sherman Oaks of an apparent suicide. Reports on this case are not completed. She's scheduled for an examination tomorrow."
The reason for the death of White is still undetermined. It was reported that White's body was found by two of her friends on Sept. 28 and there are still no apparent reasons determined. Authorities told TMZ that it might be to drug overdose.
Days before, Jim Carrey announced that he broke up with White. And in the same day, White sent a "sign-off" goodbye in Twitter which captions "Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest."
Hollywood Life also indicated Carrey's statement regarding the saddened news of his ex-girlfriend's death saying, "I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt."
The 28-year-old White was born in Ireland. Hollywood Life says that White was a makeup artist by profession and has worked with several other celebrities like David Hasselhoff and Lyndie Greenwood. She dated the "Bruce Almighty" star on and off from 2012.
