Last Monday, news broke out that Paul Walker's 16-year-old daughter Meadow filed a lawsuit against Porsche stating that her father would still be alive if it wasn't for the car equipped with proper safety features.
As per the lawsuit obtained by People, Meadow claimed that "Porsche Carrera GT that her father's friend, Roger Rodas, was driving when they crashed, "lacked safety features ... that could have prevented the accident or, at a minimum, allowed Paul Walker to survive the crash."
In addition to the lawsuit it also stated that "The seat belt snapped Walker's torso back with thousands of pounds of force, thereby breaking his ribs and pelvis, trapping him in the car where he remained alive until the vehicle erupted into flames one minute and twenty seconds later."
As per People, her lawyers claimed that it was Porsche Carrera GT who was responsible for her father's death.
"Knowing that the Carrera GT had a history of instability and control issues, the company failed to install its electronic stability control system, which they say is specifically designed to protect against the swerving actions inherent in hyper-sensitive vehicles of this type."
The public has been keeping their eyes for updates, but Porsche broke their silence in regards to the lawsuit by making a statement though their representative..
US Weekly then reported that the company's representative Calvin Kim responded to the lawsuit that was filled against them last Tuesday, September 29.
During his interview with CNN he stated: "As we have said before, we are saddened whenever anyone is hurt in a Porsche vehicle, but we believe the authorities' reports in this case clearly established that this tragic crash resulted from reckless driving and excessive speed."
Los Angeles County Sheriff department stated that Paul Walker's vehicle was "travelling at an unsafe speed for the road way conditions."
