"Donut, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat, and Lollipop."
Those are not part of a menu but rather it represents the evolution of Google's Android OS. Those are the names of the operating systems which power more than a billion of smartphones and other similar gadgets. And just recently Google revealed their latest Android OS, the Android 6.0 dubbed as Android Marshmallow, which is expected to somehow compete with other mobile brand's operating system and their corresponding updates.
Android Marshmallow is the new Operating System from Android adding more taste to your device usage. Though it may sound underrated and unlavished with media attention, unlike the iOS 9 of Apple, but still beneath the single heading of 'Android Marshmallow' are tons of little improvements which would make your Android experience a lot easier and a lot better. Android Marshmallow is packed with useful tools such as the 'Goolge Now on Tap,' 'Doze,' and 'Fingerprint Support,' to name a few.
One of the new distinct features of Android Marshmallow is the 'Goolge Now on Tap.' Definitely this feature is really something new from Google. For according to theverge through Android Marshmallow's Google Now on Tap feature, "Google Now will read the screen, look for anything interesting - like the name of a celebrity, an event, or a location - and then return information on what it sees in a little popup box on the bottom of the screen."
Now if you are the type of a person who always complains about the battery life of your device, then 'Doze' feature of Android Marshmallow might be the latest improvement that you need. For according to theverge, "Doze, [is] a new feature in Marshmallow, [which] monitors how your device is being used and adjusts app activity accordingly. Basically, if you aren't using a tablet all day while it lies on your table, Marshmallow will simply pause your apps so they don't drain through your battery."
With the introduction of these new features of Android 6.0- Marshmallow, everyone would be gunning for an update of their Android OS. However, it's good to note that updates may vary depending on the manufacturer of you smartphone, some are slow and others might be nonexistent at all. But one thing is for sure, the updates for Google's Nexus devices are immediate.
By the way, you might be wondering why the new Android 6.0 is called Marshmallow? According to Android, it is called as such for it represents sweetness just like its predecessors, for Android and its devices makes life sweeter.
