Season 4 of "Elementary" is set to premiere in November, and various storylines have already surfaced online regarding the upcoming season of the show. Recent reports state that Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller) will be exploring other options when it comes to his career as he anticipates his termination from the NYPD.
According to Christian Post, Sherlock will be seeking greener pastures in Season 4 after the catastrophic events that happened in the Season 3 finale. Viewers will recall that in the finale episode of Season 3, Sherlock beat up Oscar Rankin (Michael Weston), and in the Season 4 he expects to be axed from the task force because of his actions. It is said that Sherlock will start looking for others that will take him and Watson (Lucy Liu) as co-partners.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the show's producer Rob Doherty talked about Sherlock "post-relapse."
"As we start the season, he's waiting to hear if the district attorney is going to bring charges against him for what he did to Oscar Rankin in the finale." They're [Sherlock and Watson] both on pins and needles in that they don't have a strong sense of what the district attorney is going to do. There's a certain amount of sympathy for the situation Sherlock was put in, but at the same time, you just can't lose your cool like that and work for the New York Police Department," he revealed.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that the first case of Sherlock in "Elementary" Season 4 will be based on the canonical story "The Adventure of Wysteria Lodge." It is said that Patrick Page will reappear in the show as Jonathan Bloom to ask Sherlock's help in proving his innocence regarding the disappearance of his wife.
"Elementary" Season will return on CBS on Nov. 5 at 10 p.m.
