After Kim Zolciak experienced a "mini stroke," she is left with no choice but to quit from the "Dancing With The Stars."
Zolciak's health drama has finally taken its toll on her dancing competition because the reality star and pro-dancer partner Tony Dovolani were forced to withdraw from the competition after missing Monday's live show. This was explained by host, Tom Bergeron as reported by CBS News.
After last week's episode "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" flew back home after she suffered a mini stroke." Kim shared that her left side of the body suddenly became numb. She shared that this is "the scariest thing I've ever been through in my whole life."
Kim added that she went back home to be with her partner. "I'm honestly worried." She added, "A stroke is nothing to mess around with, whether it's minor or massive."
She was then advised by her doctor not to fly back to Los Angeles causing her to miss Monday's performance. Dovolani was then forced to perform the pair's samba with Jenna Johnson.
According to PEOPLE, Kim was able to Skype into Monday's live show and that's the time when Tom told her that she had to withdraw from the competition. CBS News reported that Kim even protested during the Skype interview that she can still dance and that she was not just allowed to fly. She even added that she felt "great" already.
While Tony said to PEOPLE that "Honestly, I didn't know I was getting excused from the competition until Tom hugged me." He then added, "But the truth is, I'm just proud of her for listening to the doctors, putting her health first, putting her family and kids first and making that the most important thing."
PEOPLE shared that last Monday Kim took to social media her desires to come back and be allowed to compete again on "Dancing With The Stars."
It has been said that the contestants have already been made aware of the rules set by the show: "A contestant must withdraw in the instance of a health issue or illness preventing them from dancing."
Although Dovolani said that he's "hoping to persuade the show's lawyer to allow them to come back with his tweets and Instagram post."
Dovolani said, "I'm very proud of Kim." He added, "She improved every week. This was such an unfortunate thing. Listen, she was in the hospital for three days and still came in on Saturday and learned the dance in an hour and a half. We were prepared to dance, just that they hadn't cleared her to fly yet. That's the reason why she's not here."
Kim even posted on her Instagram page a video of her with partner Dovolani practicing last Saturday. She captioned it, "I practiced for hours Saturday I was so excited to be there tonight! I just needed a few more days and then I'm cleared to fly!" Adding the following hashtags, "#ImReallySad" and "#ImStrong."
