Octomom Nadya Suleman is back in the headlines as she's being accused of welfare fraud.
The L.A. County Department of Welfare Fraud Prevention and Investigation is investigating whether the mother of 14 may have committed welfare fraud, according to reports from both E! and TMZ.
TMZ is reporting that a complaint was filed about Nadya Suleman collecting welfare benefits including food stamps, even though she made somewhere around $200,000 last year, doing her porn video and other publicity gigs.
The problem is that in the state of California, she can collect welfare, as long as she does not make more than $119,000.00 per year. The complaint indicates that Octomom made well over that amount, which means she is committing welfare fraud - in layman's terms, scamming the system.
! If law enforcement brings a case, and Suleman is convicted, she risks going to jail for as many as three years.
