The season finale of season two of "Sleepy Hollow" gave us a gut-wrenching moment as Ichabod Crane, left with no choice, stabs his wife Katrina to end her fit of rage following the death of their evil son Jeremy. According to Tech Times, it was then followed by a scene where the Mills sisters, the back-from-the-dead former captain Irving and Ichabod Crane talked about preparing for an even nastier war between good and evil. It has enticed its viewers for the next much-awaited season 3 of Sleepy Hollow, which will begin this October.
Recently, it has been reported that next season of "Sleepy Hollow" will have lesser drama now that Jeremy and Katrina seem to be gone for good. According to Design and Trend, viewers will not be seeing the headless horseman, who is supposedly the original enemy of Ichabod, in the next season but the show promises meaner and tougher demons.
So what is really there to expect for the third season since demons will always be tough and mean? According to Inverse, the "Sleepy Hollow" new showrunner Clifton Campbell promised that the "fun is definitely back". He has recently told Entertainment Weekly, "We're not going to be as mythology-laden as the show has been in the past." In addition, it was also revealed that there will be new faces. While, Nick Hawley (Matt Barr) doesn't look like he is coming back for season 3, Joe Corbin (Zack Appelman) who was introduced in the second season as the son of Abbie's mentor who got tuned into Wendigo, will be joining the team. Moreover viewers will also be seeing some Betsy Ross, America's Flag maker, in the show and she will be played by Nikki Reed. Lastly there will be a Bones crossover episode. As for Crane, now that he already knows how to drive, when are we going to see him slip into some modern clothes again?
Sleepy Hollow will return to Fox on Oct. 1
