The legendary Walton Ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, has just received a $31.3 million pricechopper and has been relisted for $68.7 million. The 1848 acre ranch was first listed in 2011 with an asking price of $100 million.
According to Curbed, the ranch was first purchased in 1958 by Paul Walton, an oil tycoon, who turned the place into a working cattle ranch. Sitting on the north of Highway 22 and east of Snake River, the ranch is a rolling landscape offering picturesque views of the pastures and the valleys.
According to the listing, the ranch has a river bottom at 6200 feet up to 7300 feet along its east boundary. The Grand Teton Mountain Range lies n the western side of the ranch. The manager's housing complex includes two homes, a bunkhouse with outbuildings, hay and machine sheds, horse and calving barns and a set of corrals.
The main house is a 2234 square feet residence with several decks. The ranch boasts of 890 acres of irrigated lands, three wells and many natural springs.
The location of the ranch is also perfect. It serves as a gateway to the Teton National Park and is just ten miles from the town of Jackson. Three renowned ski resorts also exist around the property. The ranch is the second largest conservation easement in Teton County as well.
The listing lies with listing agency, Ranch Marketing Associates, and has been called 'A rare opportunity to own wide-open spaces in one of the most sought-after locations in the world.'
