'Need For Speed: No Limits' Release Date & Gameplay: New Video Features Drift Cars, Police Chases, Big Wrecks

Avid fans and players of "Need For Speed" will now be able to play their favorite video game using their smartphones. EA has finally rolled out "Need For Speed: No Limits" for both iOS and Android platforms.

The mobile game can be downloaded for free. It can be recalled that the game developer first announced the mobile game almost a year ago. Now players will be able to test their racing skills in their smartphones, a report from iDigital Times said on Thursday.

"Although Need for Speed No Limits is free, you can tell that a lot of effort was involved to create a mobile game that stacks up well against its heavyweight console brothers. Not only will you be racing against other players, but as per traditional NFS gameplay, you will have to outrun the police as well," the report said.

Eurogamer reports that "Need for Speed No Limits" was actually developed by EA's Firemonkey, the gaming studio that developed "Real Racing." It was said that the recently launched mobile game will feature more than 900 race events, 100 player levels, more than 10 game modes, 38 race courses and 30 various licensed cars.

The game's highlights include Car Delivery, Duel and Time Trial. In order to play the game, a stable Internet connection is required. Although, the game is free of charge, it was said that some in-app purchases will be sold for £1.49 - £79.99 per item.

"The App Store app works with iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPad and iPod touch. From Google Play you'll need Android 4.0.3 and up. A new Ghost Games-made Need for Speed is in development and out this year on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One," the report stated.

"Beyond the typical head-to-head races that are essential to racing games, Need for Speed No Limits delivers something extra with the unique ability to customize your ride with real-life aftermarket performance brands including Rauh Welt Begriff, and TRA Kyoto. In total, there are over 2.5 million custom combinations to personalize your car with. What's more, developer Firemonkeys Studio is expected to deliver some future updates with fresh content as well," iDigital Times said.
